The communications senior manager role is part of the Global Coffee, Team and Cocoa team which contributes to Starbucks’ success by using our global scale and convening power to influence and impact the coffee, tea and cocoa industry in a way that is sustainable, transparent and good for people and the planet. This exciting and new role will support a variety of communication responsibilities including executive communication, development of a global coffee narrative strategy, content creation, stakeholder communication and liaising with Public Affairs on cross-channel coffee campaigns, investor relations and crisis management.

A successful candidate enjoys tackling new challenges, thinks strategically, executes methodically and excels in taking on ownership to successfully deliver results in a fast-paced, frequently changing and dynamic business environment. This individual contributor role should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, delivering against key performance metrics and collaborating cross-functionally to drive programs forward.

As a senior manager of communications, you will…

• Serve as communications strategist for the Global Coffee, Tea and Cocoa organization

Create content in support of communications strategy in support of executive communications, Starbucks Coffee Academy, supplier and other stakeholder communication

Serve as the liaison between Public Affairs and Global Coffee, Tea and Cocoa

We’d love to hear from people with:

Leading and organizing cross-functional groups 5-7 years

International and US communications planning and management 5-7 years

Relationship management with external agencies, vendors and business partners 7 years

Strong written and verbal presentation skills 7 years

Strategic planning and execution, including internationally 5 years

Ability to foster teamwork among diverse groups and disciplines
