Job Description
Indivisible is seeking a Senior Distributed Organizer to work with Indivisible groups in states without a geographically-based Organizer, build out scaled resources and strengthen distributed organizing spaces for leaders.
The ideal candidate is a skilled organizer with strong organizing fundamentals that they’re enthusiastic to use in creative ways to support Indivisible groups. This role presents a unique opportunity for dynamic self-starters who excel in adaptable organizing, project management and creative problem solving - and who want to grapple with how to build a powerful social movement.
We are hiring for this position immediately, with applications reviewed on a rolling basis. This position is full-time, with a salary starting at $51,500, commensurate with experience. Responsibilities
Scaled Resource Development & Management
- Develop scaled resources, tools, feedback mechanisms and tracking systems for Indivisible groups and group leaders to access and use across the country.
- Develop and lead spaces for Indivisible leaders to connect with one another and with the national organization (that are not geographically based) and develop volunteers who can take on leadership roles within these spaces.
Group Outreach & Support
- Support Indivisible groups up to 12 states without a geographically based Organizer through scaled communication, cultivating small groups of leaders and 1:1 conversations.
- Research and reach out to new groups in these states and develop/identify groups to be part of the National Campaigns Network.
Project Management and Team Collaboration
- Support organizing work in federal advocacy campaigns that involve local groups.
- Work closely with members of other teams across the organization to support or drive projects and campaigns.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and leadership to coordinate work internally.

Required Qualifications
Organizing Expertise & Strategy
- At least 2 years of organizing experience ideally across various types of organizing including electoral, advocacy, labor, campus, community, etc. 1 or more years of experience with distributed organizing preferred.
- Ability to organize across different platforms and be able to effectively work with/communicate with volunteers in person, over the phone, through email, over video calls, etc.
- Strong digital organizing skills and ability to pick up different platforms quickly and easily.
- Ability to train activists in skill development, power-building, and strategic planning
- Ability to tackle problems with actionable plans, generate smart, innovative approaches, not afraid to think outside of the box.
- Strong understanding and analysis of power - including how race, class, gender, and other differences inform power in the U.S.
