Job Description
Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) is seeking a full-time Senior Litigation Paralegal to join our Strategic Litigation program, supporting complex, high impact environmental and environmental justice litigation. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Strategic Litigation, this role works closely with attorneys and advocates on matters before state and federal courts and administrative agencies across New England.

The position is preferred to be based in Boston, MA but being based in one of CLF’s other locations (Montpelier, VT, Providence, RI, Concord, NH, Portland, ME, or New Haven, CT) will be considered. There is also some opportunity for remote and flexible work within New England.
What you’ll do
· Support attorneys and advocates in the preparation and litigation of environmental, climate, and environmental justice cases before courts and state and federal agencies;
· Conduct factual and legal research, including online research, public records requests, document review, and drafting research memoranda;
- Assist with all phases of discovery, including collecting, organizing, and producing documents; working with witnesses; coordinating interviews and depositions; and collaborating with e-discovery vendors;
- Draft, proofread, and edit litigation materials including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and internal memoranda;
- Organize and maintain case files, discovery databases, court filings, and internal records;
- Prepare materials for meetings, interviews, depositions, hearings, and trials, including exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders;
- Track litigation deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and filing requirements;
- Ensure adherence to CLF’s document retention and confidentiality policies;
- Mentor, coach, and potentially supervise more entry level paralegals and other support staff;
- Prepare presentations, spreadsheets, and expense reports, and provide administrative support as needed;
- Collaborate with attorneys and colleagues across CLF offices on litigation strategy and case management;

What you’ll need
We are looking for a motivated and mature self-starter who is able to work both independently and as a productive team member with colleagues distributed across five office locations in New England.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
· A minimum of six years of paralegal or legal administrative experience supporting litigation;
· Significant experience with document review and eDiscovery platforms such as Everlaw, Relativity, Nuix Investigate, or similar tools;
- Strong research, writing, and oral communication skills;
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy;
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint; experience with Airtable, and/or ArcGIS is a plus;
- Experience with and openness to using AI tools as allowed by internal policies;
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment;
- Willingness to travel within New England, with occasional evening or weekend work;
- Understanding of environmental issues; background in environmental studies, science, or advocacy is a plus;

Salary & Benefits
CLF offers a competitive salary, extensive benefits plan, and an open, inclusive, and accepting work environment where differences are highly respected. The salary range for the position is $78,000 - $97,000 if based in Boston and $70,000 - $87,000 if based in a CLF office outside of MA; actual salary will reflect experience, qualification, and where the selected candidate is based.
