Job Description:
At Janssen, we’re working to create a world without disease. Janssen North America (NA) has an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Senior Manager to join our Public Affairs and Access Communications team. Working with the Director, Public Affairs, this role will oversee execution of internal and organizational communications for the Strategic Customer Group and Janssen Scientific Affairs. Our ideal candidate will work with Director, Public Affairs to build and execute on an impactful, multichannel strategic plan that coordinates internal and organizational communications across these two centers of excellence along with the policy communications being driven through the Government Affairs & Policy team.
This manager will be expected to execute on key communications priorities and develop excellent relationships across the business and company. They also will be responsible for providing oversight, tracking and planning of external engagements for senior leaders within SCG and JSA including social media and speaking engagements. In addition, the Senior Manager will provide support for internal coordination around the Transparency Report and Policy Briefs.
This manager will also help develop critical standard operating procedures for critical projects and issue management across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Internal and Organizational Communications for SCG and JSA:
- Provide execution support for SCG and JSA internal and organizational communications.
- Develop Executive Engagement:
- Develops and advances thought leadership platform for SCG and JSA
- Provides support for external engagements
- Ensures thoughtful coordination of voices throughout the year; and enhances our leadership presence through our social/digital channels.
- Create Dynamic & Engaging Content:
- Sets internal and organizational communications strategies and executes plans through written documents, speeches, presentations, announcements, and other support materials.
- Advance Social/Digital Strategy:
- Provide strategic oversight of our social/digital channels for leaders, partnering with Janssen Global team
- Provide Ongoing Strategic Counsel:
- Represent PA and access comms to certain priority workstreams and committees
- Stay Attuned/Adapt to Industry Trends:
- Maintains strong understanding of current industry, market and societal trends affecting the Janssen business including drug pricing and other priority policy issues for the business.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors degree is required with a preference of study in the areas of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or closely related field
Experience and Skills:
Required :
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in corporate communications
- Previous experience working with senior executives
- Strong writing skills
- Must be organized and adaptable to frequently changing environment
Preferred:
- Interest in policy
Other:
- Up to 25% travel

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $99,000 to $171,350.
