Job Description
The Senior Communications Specialist works with the Associate Director to effectively and positively shape public perception of OHSU’s work, and to convey information to the public via the news media and other channels that fosters understanding of the value of OHSU, resulting in engagement, support/advocacy and use of services. The Senior Communications Specialist will identify OHSU news and human interest stories that illustrate this value and will ensure this information is broadly conveyed to stakeholders, including the general public, OHSU faculty and staff, patients, donors, and elected officials. This position manages a variety of media relations beats/assignments, and may be assigned other institutional communications responsibilities. Specific areas of emphasis will be determined by the supervisor.
Salary is dependent on qualifications and will comply with pay equity policies. (Minimum: $68,054; Midpoint: $85,126; Maximum: $102,198)
