Service Success Coach at The Maryland Department of Service and Civic Innovation

Service Success Coach multiple vacancies (Administrative Officer III - Grade 15): this contractual position is a dedicated and compassionate coach responsible for advocating for as well as overseeing the holistic professional and personal development of Maryland Corps/Service Year Option and Maryland Climate Corps Members through a 9-11 month program period. The role involves a substantial amount of coaching and guidance, primarily conducted through regular bi-weekly check-ins with program participants via text, virtual or phone calls, video calls, in addition to in-person interactions at least once a month over several professional development training days located throughout the state of Maryland.  Service Success Coaches must possess the ability to form meaningful, trust-based relationships with Members while also supporting accountability for program elements and ensuring Member success in the program. Coaches guide Members through  accomplishments and challenges in workplace environments as well as navigate or provide resources for needs-based personal matters. 

Hourly salary range: $25.64 -$33.24/hourly with limited, subsidized State of MD health benefits. Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and a minimum of 3 years administrative staff or professional work experience required (Note: Substitutions of 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to 2 years of the required exp, possession of a Bachelor’s degree from a college or university for the required exp or U.S. Armed forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work that included regular use of independent judgment and analysis of operational programs or procedures with recommendations for improvement on a year-for-year basis for the required experience).
