ICA is seeking a Silicon Valley Program Manager to help ICA on its mission of closing the racial and gender wealth gaps by delivering dynamic and responsive programming to growth oriented small businesses in the Silicon Valley region. The Silicon Valley Program Manager will report to the Chief Program Officer.

This position is based in San Jose, and will work in a remote environment (i.e. no dedicated office space).

THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Chief Program Officer you will build and maintain a strong pipeline of companies to deploy $1M of investment dollars within the next 2 years, manage the day-to-day operations and on-the-ground small business support strategy.

Small Business Pipeline Development & Management

  • Leads the outreach, engagement, and recruitment efforts to build and maintain a pipeline 50+ Silicon Valley based companies for ICA’s virtual programming, Silicon Valley based programming, and investment capital deployment.
  • Create, implement, and track the results of a Silicon Valley outreach plan, increase the program visibility, and recruit 20 - 30 growth orientated diverse program participants for each Silicon Valley based offering.

Silicon Valley Strategic Program Management

  • Establishes and maintains an ICA presence in the region, with a focus on San Jose
  • Cultivates, manages, and maintains 5 - 10 strategic partner relationships to build pipeline, deliver value add programming, and maintain an understanding of the region’s needs
  • Manages all Silicon Valley based program operations, entrepreneur education offerings, events, and workshops
  • Manages $10,000 budget and provides recommendations for budget changes each calendar year to achieve Silicon Valley objectives and goals
  • Works with ICA’s Network Resource Manager to build, maintain, and engage a Silicon Valley network of: 5 - 10 pro-bono advisors, 2 - 4 professional service providers, and 40+ Silicon Valley program alumni
  • Supports with the management of key stakeholder relationships: capital providers, pro-bono advisors, professional service providers, consultants, strategic partners, and city officials
  • Participates in establishing program goals and objectives

Small Business Program Management

  • Leads the selection, vetting, and onboarding of small businesses for Silicon Valley focused programming.
  • Works with ICA’s Network Resource Manager to manage resource requests of Silicon Valley programming companies
  • Supports the strategy for growing and increasing all of ICAs entrepreneur services
  • Supports in the vetting of Silicon Valley companies for potential investment, as applicable
  • Works with Network Resource Manager to support alumni engagement of Silicon Valley programming participants

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in an entrepreneurial business environment, working in or advising small businesses, at an investment fund, or for a small business accelerator.
  • Bilingual and able to read, write and speak Spanish proficiently.
  • Proven track record in program design, development and/or delivery.
  • Excellent facilitation skills across diverse audiences.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Energetic, forward thinking and creative with high ethical standards.
  • Solutions oriented with demonstrated high performance and agility during rapidly changing priorities
  • Excellent ability to manage IT systems, tracking and reporting, and Google Docs preferred.

OUR OFFER AND COMMITMENT

The annual base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 dependent upon background and experience; plus an annual bonus depending on performance.

ICA’s full benefits package includes: 12 paid holidays per year; 3 weeks of annual paid vacation; 7 days of annual paid sick leave; employer-paid health, dental, vision, life insurance and disability benefits; 50% employer-paid dependent health, dental and vision; and 401(k) plan with matching; and mobile phone / Internet reimbursement.
