Social Media Coordinator (30 hours a week)

Based in Friendswood, TX – onsite work

Three Little Pitties Rescue is seeking a creative, organized, and passionate Social Media Coordinator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who loves animals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can balance hands-on social storytelling with digital strategy.

Responsibilities

Fundraising Content & Coordination

  • Work with clinic and rescue teams to gather updates, photos, and videos for medical and special-case fundraisers for Marketing Manager to post.

     
  • Support Marketing Manager with ongoing fundraising campaigns with fresh content and updates.

     

Social Media Management

  • Create, edit, and schedule multiple daily posts from existing content calendar on Facebook and Instagram using native platforms, Meta Business Manager and Sprout Social. Average 4-6 per day.

     
  • Assist with Instagram Stories + posting, and creating engaging, social-first videos with strong hooks, reasons to care, and clear calls-to-action.

     
  • Monitor and respond to comments and messages across platforms to build community.

     
  • Add and manage Facebook events, and update events on the website as needed.

     

Content Creation

  • Capture behind-the-scenes content at the clinic and Rustic location (fosters, volunteers, behavior, medical, cats & dogs).

     
  • Cover events, pack walks, and transports, highlighting the emotion and impact of rescue work. Transport happens bi-weekly on Thursdays for 2-3 hours.

     
  • Work with staff ahead of transport days to identify special cases and gather “before” stories.

     
  • Assist with occasional merch modeling shoots featuring volunteers, staff, and adoptable pets once per month.

     

Collaboration & Strategy

  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure all content aligns with overall strategy and campaign goals.

     
  • Collaborate with volunteers and staff across departments to gather stories and content.
  • Assist with weekly tracking of social performance metrics and help prepare monthly reports to measure success and guide future adjustments.

     

Time Commitment

  • 30 hours a week
  • Attendance at transport events as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to capture the heart of rescue work.

     
  • Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube a plus).

     
  • Familiarity with video editing tools, ideally CapCut, to create engaging, social-first content.

     
  • Comfortable managing comments, messages, and community engagement with professionalism and warmth.

     
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities daily.

     
  • Photography and video skills (smartphone acceptable) with a knack for capturing emotional, impactful moments.

     
  • Passion for animal rescue and a team-player attitude.
  • Comfortable using Canva to design simple, on-brand graphics and visuals many in existing templates.
