U.S. Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) is seeking an engaging, detail-oriented individual with an interest in constituent services to become a Special Assistant in his Portland, Oregon office.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: coordination of state intern program; answering front desk phones; casework support; attending to the technology needs of the state offices; and providing general administrative office support to staff. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills (both written and verbal), be highly organized, and will excel at multi-tasking in a high-pressure environment. Previous customer service experience is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will also have a valid Oregon driver’s license and possess fluency in a foreign language spoken by large numbers of Oregonians.

This position is in-person, on-site following regular business hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) plus additional hours on evenings and weekends based on the scheduling needs of the office.
