The Office of Representative Val Hoyle (OR-04) is hiring a full-time intern to work in her Washington, D.C. office. This paid internship runs from January through early-May 2026.

Interns will support a fast-paced, collaborative team and gain firsthand experience across legislative, communications, and administrative work. 

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Answering phones and recording constituent opinions;
  • Leading Capitol tours for constituents;
  • Sorting and drafting responses to constituent mail;
  • Attending briefings and hearings;
  • Compiling daily news clips;
  • Assisting in drafting social media content, including creating graphics and editing video content;
  • Assisting in drafting press releases and other written materials;
  • Clipping committee remarks and cable hits;
  • Providing additional administrative, legislative, and communications support as needed.

Successful candidates should demonstrate that they are organized, detail-oriented, and professional. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
