Job Description


Representative Seth Magaziner (RI-02) seeks part-time, paid Spring semester interns for his Washington, DC office. Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Providing a welcoming environment and positive first impression of the Member’s office to constituents, visitors, and other VIPs; 
  • Answering incoming calls with poise, professionalism, and promptness; 
  • Sorting and distributing mail; 
  • Attending briefings and hearings, conducting legislative research, and drafting correspondence and memoranda;
  • Compiling daily press clips;
  • Assisting Member and key staff (e.g. Staff Assistant, Operations Director, Chief of Staff) with logistical and administrative duties; 
  • Receiving and logging constituent correspondence on policy matters for the Member’s consideration and response; 
  • Assisting with tours of the Capitol.

 The fall internship runs from January through mid-May, with flexible start and end dates.
