Job Summary:

The Corporate Communications team leads all aspects of the development and management of our reputation through external and internal communications strategies that support our organization's strategic priorities and vision.


We are looking for an accomplished corporate communications manager to join us as the Senior Manager, Corporate Executive Communications, supporting The Walt Disney Company’s senior leaders and external relations efforts. This role has the opportunity to drive cross-functional connectivity in our overall narrative as a company.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft compelling executive and corporate communications content, translating our mission, vision, and values into relevant messaging and powerful storytelling that drive the company’s corporate positioning and brand.
  • Work with senior leadership and key subject matter experts across the enterprise to brainstorm, draft, and deliver a variety of communications including talking points and Q&As, social media and video content, scripted remarks, leadership notes, and press releases.
  • Draft concise yet detailed briefing materials used to prepare executive leaders for internal and external engagements.
  • Collaborate with Executive Communications leads across the company and serve as the central hub for corporate and executive leadership materials, narrative, and priorities.
  • Own the employee external speaking engagement review process, including approvals, trainings, and materials review.
  • Supervise performance metrics in coordination with media monitoring and employee communications teams to assess executive engagements.


Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of writing and communications experience including crafting messaging for senior leadership (i.e., C-suite), preferably in the entertainment or tech industry.
  • Proven record in producing high-quality, compelling products for senior executives or industry leaders.
  • Business-savvy with the ability to see the world through the lens of multiple stakeholders: senior executives, consumers, industry authorities, and the larger business community.
  • General awareness of business trends and media industry trends including familiarity with content from major national newspapers, magazines, and websites with awareness of the issues that define the moment.
  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, journalism, or other relevant major.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $135,000.00-$181,000.00 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
