Job Description
Senator Martin Heinrich (D-NM) seeks a Staff Assistant for his Washington, D.C. office. This position is responsible for answering phone calls, welcoming visitors, processing physical mail, managing constituent requests for flags and tours, implementing the DC internship program, and other administrative tasks.
Ideal candidates will have outstanding interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; be service- and solutions-oriented and highly organized; take a collaborative approach with community and colleagues; and be able to prioritize and follow through on multiple tasks simultaneously. Ties to New Mexico and/or fluency in Spanish are a significant plus. This position is required to work in the office.
