The Opportunity:


The Forward Party is building a viable, credible, and durable new party, and it’s looking for a Staff Assistant who can assist in the office of the CEO. Success requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. The right candidate will be able to monitor inboxes of general correspondence to the organization, process mail, and assist the Chief of Staff to the CEO with scheduling and meeting planning. The Staff Assistant will be willing to take on any tasks to ensure smooth functioning within the Office of the CEO including tasks assigned to them by the Chief of Staff to the CEO. The right individual for this position will carry themselves with professionalism and a motivation to get the job done no matter how big or small the task.


This position will require long hours, odd hours, and occasional travel. The ideal candidate will be based in Washington, DC and able to work from the Dupont Circle office at least three days per week.


Key Responsibilities:


● Strategic Calendar Management: Maintain a complex, high-volume calendar; prioritizing meetings based on firm goals and client deadlines.

● Meeting Preparation & Briefing: Research attendees, draft briefing memos, and prepare all necessary materials (decks, one-pagers) to ensure the CEO is fully prepared for every interaction and recording minutes and necessary notes for those meetings.

● Cross-Departmental Coordination: Serve as a bridge between the CEO and department heads (Communications, Field, Strategy) to ensure internal deadlines are met and projects stay on track.

● Travel & Logistics: End-to-end coordination of domestic travel, including flights, lodging, ground transportation, and minute-by-minute itineraries.

● Client Liaison: Act as a professional point of contact for high-profile clients, donors, and candidates, ensuring a seamless flow of communication.

● Special Projects: Assist with research on independent voter trends, legislative updates, or candidate vetting as needed.

● Assist the Chief Of Staff: As time allows, assist the Chief of Staff and the operations department with various administrative and operational tasks including but not limited to assisting on state tax filings, helping organize benefits administration, and more.

● Candidate Research: Conduct research studies for candidate research using LexisNexis and other platforms

● Monitor Communications: Monitor general inboxes to the organization and flag incoming communications to the appropriate staff as well as regularly checking the mailbox at the office for important communications.


Required Skills & Experiences:


● Extreme attention to detail

● Good at maintaining positive relationships

● Ability to switch between tasks and topics quickly

● Reliable communication skills and responsiveness

● 1-2 years of internship or entry-level experience at a political organization is preferred

● Interest in both the fascinating and mundane parts of running a political organization


Compensation and Benefits: Framework Services offers a competitive compensation package for this full time position, providing a yearly salary of $50,000-$60,000, a wide variety of medical, dental, and vision benefits to choose from, unlimited PTO, and hybrid working environments.
