Job Description
The Office of Congressman Greg Landsman is hiring a Staff Assistant/Driver to join our Washington, D.C. team.
This is a fast-paced, front-facing role at the center of daily operations. The Staff Assistant/Driver serves as the first point of contact for the office, ensures smooth execution of the Member’s schedule, drives the Congressman to official engagements, and manages the D.C. internship program. The role works closely with the Director of Operations and Scheduling to keep the office running efficiently and on time.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Managing the front desk and delivering excellent constituent service
- Handling phones, visitor intake, and daily office operations
- Coordinating real-time logistics to support the Member’s schedule
- Driving the Member to official duties across D.C. (including evenings/offsite events)
- Overseeing the D.C. internship program
- Supporting constituent services (tours, flags, casework intake)
- Assisting with mail, office operations, and event logistics
- Executing special projects and general administrative support
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
- Sound judgment and discretion in a high-demand environment
- Demonstrated commitment to public service
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and insured personal vehicle
- Willingness to work extended and irregular hours, including on-call while the Member is in D.C.
Salary: $50,000–$56,000
