The Office of Representative Marie Gluesenkamp Perez seeks a diligent and clear-thinking Staff Assistant/Legislative Correspondent for the Washington DC office. Candidates should possess excellent critical thinking skills, situational awareness, curiosity, and a good sense of humor. Washington State/Pacific Northwest ties are strongly preferred.  

The Staff Assistant/Legislative Correspondent will serve as an integral member of the DC team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing the front desk (greeting visitors, processing flag requests, answering phones, conducting tours, generally contributing to a cheerful and focused environment), overseeing the intern program, implementing a robust and proactive constituent correspondence program that sent more than 200,000 letters in 2025, and other duties as assigned. 

This is a full-time position. College degree is not required.
