Job Description

U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin seeks a State Press Secretary to join her Madison, WI office. The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, acting as a liaison with state media; writing and editing communication materials, such as press releases, talking points, op-eds, statements, video scripts, and remarks; collaborating with departments for event planning; and traveling with the Senator in Wisconsin and helping prepare her for media and public appearances. Applicants should have excellent writing and interpersonal communication, organizational skills, creativity, sound judgment, and the ability to balance competing deadlines. Candidates should have at least 2-4 years of relevant political or communications experience. Candidates should have a valid driver’s license. Salary commensurate with experience.
