Job Description
U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA) seeks part-time or full-time Summer 2026 law clerks. Law clerks will support the Senator’s legal team in its policy work and investigations. Topics covered by this team include judicial and Department of Justice nominations, civil rights and civil liberties, immigration, criminal justice and law enforcement, privacy, antitrust, and intellectual property, among others. Primary responsibilities include researching and writing legal memos and briefs, drafting and editing oversight letters, assisting staff with preparation for meetings, interviewing witnesses, supporting staff with administrative assignments, and other duties as assigned. Candidates must be exceptionally strong writers, detail-oriented, self-starters, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Georgia ties preferred but not required. Candidates must be current law students or recent law school graduates. This position is not paid, but the Office can coordinate with fellowship or external funding opportunities secured by potential clerks.
