Summer 2026 - National Security Fellow
The Office of Senator Ruben Gallego is seeking a National Security Fellow to support the national security team in our Washington D.C. office. The fellowship will begin mid-May and conclude early-August. Responsibilities include researching defense and foreign policy issues; drafting policy memoranda; tracking relevant legislation; meeting with constituents and advocacy groups; and supporting committee-related work. The fellow may also assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong work ethic, and enthusiasm for contributing to a team-oriented environment. This position is not paid, but the Office can coordinate with fellowship or external funding opportunities identified by potential Fellows.
