Description

Are you a relationship-builder at heart—someone who finds joy in connecting people with meaningful, life-changing work? SBA is seeking a Donor Relations Coordinator who will play a pivotal role in strengthening and growing relationships with our mid-level donors. In this highly relational and mission-driven position, you will help ensure donors feel seen, valued, and inspired by the lifesaving impact they make through SBA and its affiliated organizations.


As an essential member of our Development team, you will create personalized experiences that deepen donor engagement, foster long-term commitment, and encourage sustained philanthropic growth. This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented fundraiser eager to advance their development career while contributing directly to SBA’s long-term success.

 

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement creative, mission-centered stewardship strategies that clearly communicate the impact of donor support.
  • Manage and execute moves management plans for a portfolio of mid-level donors ($1,000–$4,999).
  • Strengthen SBA’s culture of gratitude by coordinating donor thank-you calls and participating in direct donor appreciation efforts.
  • Engage donors in meaningful, relationship-building conversations to understand their motivations and philanthropic goals.
  • Track, monitor, and report on donor activity, ensuring stewardship and cultivation efforts are strategic and effective.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Development and Donor Prospect Analyst to identify donors ready to transition into the major gifts pipeline.
  • Conduct donor and prospect research, preparing profiles that inform strategic outreach.
  • Maintain accurate donor records and activity notes to ensure consistency and accountability across the Development team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Development or fundraising experience 


Preferred Education/Experience

  • Experience with Virtuous or similar donor CRMs preferred

Salary Description
$60,000 - $80,000 annually
