Job Description


Corporate Security (CorpSec) enables the public conversation and business growth by protecting Tweeps and company assets globally. Twitter is seeking a Tactical Analyst who will support CorpSec’s analysis function for the Americas and Canada. The position will report to the Lead CorpSec Analyst, and coordinate closely with other relevant functions within CorpSec such as Global Regional Operations, Global Risk Intelligence, Protective Intelligence, Crisis Management, Travel Security, as well as external partners. The role is ideal for a motivated self-starter who is eager to grow within the security field, and form a vital role in developing CorpSec’s analyst function.


What You'll Do

  • Monitor, identify, and analyze security risks to determine their impact on and relevance to Twitter assets, including employees and facilities;
  • Triage alerts identified through monitoring; assess the validity and impact of risks affecting Twitter assets using strong research skills;
  • Provide analytical support for end-to-end incident management for the Americas East and Americas West regions and Crisis Management;
  • Produce quality written products such as tactical assessments and travel briefs for internal and external stakeholders;
  • Work closely with CorpSec analysts and external stakeholders on analytical projects;
  • Assist with metrics collation for the Americas East and Americas West regions;
  • When necessary, assist in all aspects of end-to-end security support for Twitter at internal and external events.

  • You have the ability to analyze and convey risk and analytical assessment data in an easy to understand manner
  • You are willing to work across Eastern and Western time zones

Qualifications

  • Minimum educational requirement of a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Political Science, International Relations, International Security, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred;
  • Minimum 3-5+ years experience in security analysis or investigations, or relevant transferable experience;
  • Understanding of geopolitical issues globally and in the Americas and Canada of relevance to Twitter;
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize;
  • Excellent proven writing and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to synthesize information from a wide variety of sources, and summarize succinctly for stakeholder consumption;
  • Ability to adapt to an open, transparent, and highly collaborative corporate culture and effectively balance security with company values;
  • Motivated self-starter who is eager to learn new security disciplines;
  • Business intelligence and data analytic skills, including knowledge of Tableau or Microsoft Power BI, are a plus;
  • Fluency in English required;
  • Possession of a valid passport with no travel restrictions.
