Job Description
The organization is seeking a motivated legislative reporting intern for Spring 2027 to join its statewide reporting team in Austin, TX. This hands-on internship will involve covering significant hearings, interviewing lawmakers and citizens, and producing stories for both radio and digital platforms. Interns will develop story ideas, respond to breaking news, and learn to simplify complex policy issues for a broad audience. Ideal candidates are current students or recent graduates with strong writing skills, a solid understanding of AP style, and a passion for public radio. Experience with audio editing and previous work in a news organization are advantageous.
