Job Description
Matthew Durr is an independent candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Illinois’ 11th District who is running to challenge the political establishment and fight for a country that works for ordinary Americans. A U.S. Army sergeant, nonprofit founder, and advocate for the vulnerable, Matthew has dedicated his life to confronting systems that fail the people they are supposed to serve.
As the founder of The Revolution’s Enterprise, a nonprofit focused on ending homelessness, Matthew has made it his mission to fight for those society too often forgets. His campaign centers on making America livable again—ending homelessness, putting the well-being of Americans first, and reforming institutions like the military so they truly serve the people.
Matthew believes government should defend human dignity, hold the powerful accountable, and ensure that every American has access to safety, housing, and opportunity. He is running for Congress to bring moral courage, transparency, and bold leadership to Washington, and to prove that ordinary people—not wealthy elites—should decide the future of this country.
