The Web Content & Digital Marketing Specialist will be an instrumental part of a team that develops and implements comprehensive marketing strategies that promote the VSAC brand and associated products and services (private student loans, the Vermont 529 savings plan, financial aid resources, and more) to all Vermont students that would benefit from them. The position will be focused on developing and implementing website content and digital advertising campaigns and measuring and optimizing to improve results.

This position will be based out of the VSAC Winooski office, with the opportunity to work up to 60% of the weekly schedule from home if preferred and approved by supervisor. All home office setups must comply with VSAC’s hybrid work arrangement policy.

• Assists Marketing team in developing innovative and cohesive web and digital strategies to promote VSAC’s brand and services.

• Responsible for ongoing revisions to the vsac.org website including, but not limited to known annual edits and working with other VSAC departments to deploy ad hoc content revisions.

• Optimizes content for the VSAC website and relevant digital platforms by writing and publishing new content related to key initiatives, including landing pages and blogs, in collaboration with inhouse graphic designer, public affairs manager, and other marketing staff, with a focus on SEO.

• Develop and implement digital campaigns including search, display, social and retargeting, in collaboration with marketing colleagues. Maintains and optimizes campaign performance in flight using Google Analytics, Google Ads, Semrush, and other tools.

• Identifies and researches industry trends and insights and monitors websites and advertising initiatives of competitor and peer organizations. Analyzes performance metrics and generates periodic reports and presentations to demonstrate campaign outcomes to VSAC leadership.

• Prepares, executes, and tracks assigned projects coordinating with internal partners and external vendors supporting web and paid media platforms.

• Performs other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or related field, or equivalent in education and experience

• Strong content marketing experience including experience writing content

• A minimum of 2 years of direct hands-on experience developing and executing digital marketing campaigns using Google Ads and other tools such as social media ad campaigns

• Proven ability to analyze campaign performance and make recommendations to improve performance using Google Analytics (or similar analytics tools)

• Comfortable using Content Management Systems (knowledge of Drupal and HTML & CSS a plus)

• Fluency in social media platforms (at a minimum Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)

• Proficiency with SEO tools and best practices including key-word search, meta-data etc. Preferred Qualifications:
