The International Council of Peace and Security is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that aims to share and spread academic content to people all around the world with foreign policy analyses over countries and regions within peace and security studies. It focuses on diverse sub-categories across multi disciplines, from international energy security, political violence and disarmament to Polieconomics as well as providing data based research barometers annually to Cultivate heightened awareness and understanding of matters pertaining to international security and peace. At ICSP, the academic team consists of international writers and members from its 12 departments. ICPS does write in many fields with foreign policy based non-partisan, political analysts with the aim of sharing the academic analysis and knowledge our team has, to allow all the people around the globe to benefit from this knowledge without any charges or subscriptions while promoting peace and security analyses all over the world.


Who We Are Recruiting For the Position? 

We, as the International Council of Peace and Security, are looking for people who are interested in the Research department with supporting resumes for the position they are applying for. We will be hiring 1 person to our research department for the Research Director position and responsibilities for this position will be as listed below: 

As the Research Director at ICPS, you will assume a pivotal role in overseeing the team of analysts and researchers, ensuring that all reports are meticulously prepared for publication in collaboration with the Editor in Chief. Your responsibilities will include managing the team, storing data on member activities, supervising their work, and conducting onboarding sessions for new hires. You will convene with your team monthly to review and oversee the content of research projects, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and adherence to research policies established by the board. Your activities will be subject to final approval by both the Chief Research Officer and the Chancellor, guaranteeing alignment with our weekly and monthly strategic objectives.

What Are Our Requirements For The Position? 

  • A Master's degree with 5 years experience in Conflict and Mediation, Peacebuilding, International Peace, International Security, or a Doctorate (ongoing or completed) with 2 years experience.
  • Significant experience in international affairs or publication and research in this field, preferably in a leadership or management role within an NGO, INGO, or IO for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are required, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong ethical judgment and integrity are essential, with the ability to make decisions in line with the organization's policies and ethical standards in international affairs.
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements, and to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, is required.
  • Strong teamwork skills are essential, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and team members to achieve common goals.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills, with the ability to identify and effectively resolve conflicts or challenges that may arise during the publication and research process.
  • A desire to advance your career in the international affairs field, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. 
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to cultural, gender-based, religious, racial, national, and age differences, as well as a commitment to diversity and inclusion. 
  • The highest standards of integrity and discretion, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
