Communications and Outreach Specialist

The U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee (Democratic Staff) is hiring a Communications and Outreach Specialist. This role will encompass traditional communications responsibilities, for instance drafting press releases and conducting media outreach. This role will also involve working with other Senate and House offices -- as well as outside leaders and groups -- to amplify the Committee's work. Candidates should be strong writers who are excited about finding creative ways to reach new audiences. Candidates should have 3-6 years of work experience and should have prior experience working directly with reporters. Experience working for moderate Members of Congress is a plus.
