Summary
This position is located in the Assistance for Asia & Near East Office of the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM/ANE). The incumbent leads budget formulation for the Bureau and represents the Department in interagency and inter-governmental discussions. The incumbent is the principal officer in the Bureau concerning the U. S. Government's relationship with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) on Palestinian refugee policies.

Responsibilities
Develops, directs, and administers work in the formulation of foreign affairs policies and programs related to Palestinian refugees and other conflict victims in the Near East.
Formulates policy related to United States Government (USG) humanitarian leadership and country and regional-level assistance programming for these populations.
Manages resources exceeding $200 million per year to serve over five million beneficiaries in the Near East, and leads the effort in developing the Bureau’s budget request justifications for Palestinian refugees.
Serves as team leader for a two-person team consisting of one Foreign Service Program Officer or one Civil Service Program Officer responsible for country-level policy and programming.
