WORKING AT NPF
In 1967, NPF was chartered by Congress to support the vision and philanthropic needs of NPS. In its role, NPF uniquely leverages private and public funding to preserve and fortify some of America's most beloved places: from the Lincoln Memorial to Yellowstone National Park; NPF works with philanthropists to create a lasting tribute to the history and natural landscape of this nation.
Now in its 55th year, NPF has embarked upon a collective venture with park partners across the country to form a $1B+ fundraising initiative: The Campaign for National Parks. With 70+ partners across the country, this campaign aims to unite donors from every state to invest in a single vision: elevating philanthropy to support our national parks and monuments. In 2018, NPF began planning for the campaign and officially entered the quiet phase in October 2021. Since then, NPF has worked behind the scenes with some of America's most preeminent philanthropists to secure leadership campaign gifts, which will play an outsized role in the success of the campaign.
