EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Position title: Executive Director—Committee to Defend the President

Reports to: Committee Chairman, and Treasurer

Location: Washington, DC

We are looking for a hard-working, organized, meticulous and positive visionary committed to supporting President Trump and his agenda with a focus on the President’s re-election in 2020; The Executive Director is responsible for all day-to-day management of the organization, with particular emphasis on programmatic activities and overseeing fundraising vendors.

Responsibilities:

MANAGE, MOTIVATE STAFF AND VENDORS:

• Meticulously manage a diverse array of campaign fundraising vendors.

• Supervise and support local and remote vendors.

• Potentially recruit, hire, onboard and provide training for staff persons as the organization grows.

FUNDRAISING:

• Take a strong personal role in fundraising efforts. Interact proactively and effectively with a large range of vendors and donors.

• Work with fundraising consultant(s) and/or vendor(s) to monitor and maximize fundraising efforts on digital, mail, phone, and other novel channels.

• Develop systems to manage call time, special events, monthly donor program and national partner proposals.

• Working with the Chairman and Treasurer to create and manage an annual budget that is consistent with the Committee’s strategic plans.

• Working with the Treasurer, to manage the organization’s finances, track income and expenditures, pay bills and maintain records and accounts in order to produce financial stability.

• Work with Treasurer to ensure the organization complies with all applicable laws governing political action committees, including prior legal review of all outbound communications.

• Create, manage, and implement an overall social media plan.

BUILDING & MAINTAINING RELATIONSHIPS:

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with vendors, elected officials, key constituencies and donors.

• Respond promptly and helpfully to emails, voicemails, queries and feedback.

OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

Qualifications:

• Must be dedicated to President Trump and his agenda.

• Must be highly organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and meet or exceed deadlines.

• Must have strong writing skills.

• Must be good at initiating, tracking, and completing projects in a timely manner.

• Must have excellent personal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships.

• Must be willing and able to travel, including overnights and weekends.

• Must have a proven ability to handle and respond well under stress.

Salary range is $60,000 – $75,000 and is commensurate with experience, fully-paid medical/vision/dental family benefits included.
