HCANYS is the leading statewide association representing home care providers across NYS. Our mission is to promote and enhance the quality and accessibility for health care and support at home.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Vice President (EVP) for Clinical and Program Affairs to provide strategic leadership in clinical operations, program development, and quality improvement initiatives and provide a lead role in supporting the Association’s operations, administration and implementation of strategic initiatives. The EVP will work closely with member organizations, policymakers, and other stakeholders to advance home care services and drive clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee clinical strategies and programs to enhance the quality and effectiveness of home care services.
- Lead policy development and advocacy efforts related to clinical practice, and home and community-based program services and affairs.
- Provide education, training and expert guidance on clinical and program areas.
- Lead and collaborate on selected areas of health and home care policy and programs, including support of committees and member sessions.
- Collaborate with HCANYS member organizations to support program innovation, professional development regulatory compliance and support workforce development, training and education initiatives.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and performance excellence across home care providers.
- Represent the association at industry conferences, policy forums and stakeholder meetings.
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, healthcare partners and member organizations.
- Provides leadership and participation in HCANYS grants and major initiatives.
- Mentor and lead a team of professionals, fostering innovation and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical leadership experience, preferably in the home care or community health sector.
- Deep knowledge of home care regulations, clinical practice standards and quality improvement methodologies.
- Proven track record in program development, policy advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and strategic planning skills, health care association experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
