Director of Communications / Managing Editor

Ready for a Just Economy? The National Community Reinvestment Coalition is hiring a Director of Communications / Managing Editor to tell the stories that will get us there.

We're seeking an experienced PR / media strategist or journalist who knows fair lending, fair housing and economic policy issues, regulatory agencies and people - and who is passionate about making a Just Economy a national priority and a local reality. This position has a focus on policy communications so we're looking for someone who has experience with our policy issues and arena.

What you'll do: Hustle. Get our stories into the right hands. You'll lead our PR, media relations and public-facing communications on policy-related issues.

Write. Edit. Produce.Tell stories. Be a brilliant journalist. Use words, images, maps and data to reveal discrimination, close the wage and wealth gap and inspire millions of Americans, policy makers AND the private sector to demand an economy that works for everyone.

You'll join a growing, entrepreneurial team of content creators, designers, developers, researchers, analysts, program operators and policy advocates. You will manage, create and play an internal and external leadership role to continuously improve our press coverage, original content productions, visibility through OpEds, events and our owned publications and media productions.

Salary range: $110,000 - $120,000
