Job Description

Who We Are: Delve is a competitive intelligence and risk advisory firm based in Washington, D.C. that produces breakthrough insights through competitive intelligence services for companies’ and causes’ public affairs challenges. These insights provide our clients with an information advantage to help them anticipate and mitigate their political and reputational risk. Delve’s clients include major corporations and industry groups, as well as advocacy, educational, and political organizations. As we serve our clients in a range of industries, we are also developing the next generation of technology to make our services more efficient, effective, and accessible. Founded in 2015, Delve has been recognized by The Washington Post, Politico, TheBridge, and others for our work.

The Opportunity: We are looking for Research Associates who are ready to hone their research and communications skills through work on high-profile public affairs efforts across a range of industry sectors and advocacy initiatives.

Delve’s Associate program is a rigorous three-month training program that prepares applicants to be full-time Analysts with Delve. Associates are paid a monthly stipend and have the opportunity to be offered a full-time Analyst position at the end of the three-month program. We are now hiring for our Summer Class, which will begin on June 6, 2022.

Who You Are: You are a soon-to-be or recent graduate whose insatiable curiosity drives you to dig deeper for information, ask tougher questions, and learn faster through experience. You are:

  • Politically-attuned with some real-world experience in politics and public policy;
  • A strong writer – able to communicate effectively and concisely;
  • A thoughtful researcher – comfortable with independently gathering information and analyzing it, armed with nothing but your headphones, laptop, and an internet connection;
  • Detail oriented, collaborative, and more interested in getting the job done right than who gets credit;
  • And committed to advocating conservative, free market principles and policies.

Roles and Responsibilities: Our associates learn how to assist our analysts in producing detailed, comprehensive, and 100% accurate research and analysis on the individuals (public figures, activists, legislators, political candidates, etc.) and organizations (PACs, trade associations, advocacy groups, etc.) affecting our clients.

You will be going through a 3-month training program, during which you will learn how to assist our analysts in:

  • Producing client-facing vetting reports on individuals and organizations that analyze their positions and actions related to defined issue sets e.g. foreign policy, manufacturing, political activism, etc.
  • Monitoring the actions of key stakeholders – i.e. activists, policymakers, business leaders, etc. – in the news and on social media.
  • Support analysts in longer-term political and corporate research projects, including collecting and organizing data, making record requests, and producing initial analysis.
