Northeast Democratic Senator is seeking a DC Scheduler with immediate availability. The DC Scheduler will report to the Director of Scheduling & Operations and work alongside the Special Assistant/Driver to plan and execute the senator’s daily schedule in DC. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Draft and maintain the senator’s official daily, weekly, and long-term schedule.
  • Prioritize and evaluate all DC scheduling requests in coordination with the Director of Scheduling & Operations, Chief of Staff, Legislative Director, Communications Director, State Director, and senior Committee staff.
  • Coordinate logistics and advance the senator’s meetings, briefings, travel, and events in DC.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all DC scheduling matters with outside stakeholders, including constituents, elected officials, agencies, and advocacy groups.

Strong candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of scheduling experience. 
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail. 
  • The ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to stay calm under pressure and exercise sound judgment. 
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion. 
  • A friendly, professional, and collaborative demeanor when interacting with principals, stakeholders, constituents, and staff alike.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record for occasional driving needs.
  • Ability to work long and unscheduled hours, including nights and weekends.
