Child Care Aware� of Missouri (CCAMO) is looking for a dynamic and passionate professional dedicated to strengthening the early childhood workforce across Missouri. This individual will focus on building trusted relationships with child care professionals, as well as local, state, and national stakeholders, to advance the early care and education industry. Duties
Responsibilities: The Chief of Workforce Development is a key leader in the development of CCAMO?s workforce programs and the growth of the organization. As a member of the executive leadership team, this position plays an essential role in sustaining and expanding the delivery of CCAMO?s services specifically our one of our Strategic Priorities ? Workforce Development, specifically focused on education, compensation and retention. This role requires strong leadership and supervisory skills with attention to detail to ensure optimal contract delivery. The Chief of Workforce Development is responsible for maintaining high performance standards, aligning operations with organizational goals, and leading initiatives that enhance efficiency, customer experience, and advance the overall success of the Workforce Development Department. This position works closely with all Chiefs and reports directly to the Deputy CEO.

Duties and responsibilities include:
- Oversight of the strategic priorities and programs within the CCAMO Workforce Development Department including training, coaching, business supports, workforce compensation projects, and scholarships.
- Oversee the development of new lines of business such as early childhood salary supplements and the development of training curriculum and the creation of new and innovative ways in which to package and deliver training and coaching for early childhood professionals.
- Assist in oversight of the TEACH Missouri Scholarship Program inclusive of the CDA Scholarship Project to ensure contract deliverables, reporting and evaluation, customer satisfaction and quality of services provided.
- Direct supervision of Directors of Workforce Development Department projects to ensure contract delivery while supporting direct reports in developing and enhancing their leadership capabilities and qualities.
- Oversee quality control of all workforce development department programs and adherence to contract mandates working with program directors.
- Support data analysis efforts to develop reports, craft surveys, and create messaging that highlights Workforce Development Department projects and promotes departmental growth.
- Support all deliverables required to maintain and renew the TEACH Early Childhood� Missouri Scholarship license inclusive of writing reports and launching new scholarship models.
- Oversee and understand the budgets and fiduciary responsibilities related to each Workforce Development Department contract/program inclusive of allocating resources effectively and managing grants and funding sources.
- Work directly with database vendors to ensure contract deliverables and related systems run efficiently and effectively.
- Assist in grant writing to support workforce development lines of services such as training, technical assistance, learning collaboratives, scholarship, and wage supplements.
- Assist in oversight of the WAGE$ salary supplement pilot in St. Louis County including development and implementation of the project.
- Oversee Workforce Development Department services by identifying key areas for growth, establishing partnerships, and ensuring that all programs are relevant to the populations served.
- Represent CCAMO in systems-building conversations, and cultivate relationships with statewide partners, community stakeholders, Workforce Development Leaders, colleges and universities, within the early childhood community.
- Attend state and national meetings related to training, business, workforce development, scholarship, and compensation.
- Assist with strategic plan implementation, business modeling and execution, revenue-generating ideas, and advocacy efforts.
- Present strategies to advance child care initiatives and solutions in Missouri through community presentations and webinars to community and state stakeholders.
- Engage in the organizations fund raising and friend raising activities.
- Communicates the mission, vision, values, beliefs, and why of CCAMO to consumers and stakeholders through presentations, exhibits and other communication efforts.
- Engage in other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Staff Competencies/Qualities:
- Bachelor?s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, early childhood education or closely related field with a master?s degree preferred.
- A minimum of five years of experience in program development, delivery and execution including data management and analysis.
- A minimum of five years supervision and staff evaluation experience.
- A minimum of five years experience in early childhood workforce development.
- Knowledge of nonprofit systems and services and experience preferred.
- Experience using databases to manage programs/contracts.
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills in both program and outreach settings with evidence of relationship building skills.
- Strong ability to lean into becoming a part of an existing and strong executive leadership team.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Ability to take concepts from initiation to completion with minimal supervision, think critically and exercise judgment and discretion.
- Possess a drive to make a difference in the early care and education workforce.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks with competing priorities under minimal supervision.
- Independent and self-motivated, able to comply with and enforce deadlines.
- Energetic team player who models organizational values and demonstrates a positive attitude.
- Strong creative and professional writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout Missouri and the United States, including overnight stays, as required by program and contract.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds.
