Fundraising Consultant | Paul Tonko for Congress
Progressive Member of Congress from Upstate New York is looking for a creative and committed self-starting fundraising professional to join our campaign team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a New York-centered fundraising plan with budgets
- Perform donor research for prospecting and events, compiling call lists and staffing the Congressman for call time
- Cultivate new donors and conduct regular follow up to continue growing a fundraising base
- Schedule, design and manage fundraising events; including identifying and coordinating with hosts, selecting and preparing venues, designing print and digital invitations, executing relevant mailings, building invitee and guest lists, writing briefing memos, and tracking event results and follow up
- Write fundraising letters and broadcast emails
- Coordinate with campaign consultants on digital and PAC fundraising
- Coordinate with treasurer on FEC Compliance
- Provide regular project progress reports to campaign team and candidate
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Prior campaign and fundraising experience required;
- Performs well under pressure in a high profile, fast paced atmosphere
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills
- Skilled problem-solver and multi-tasker
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Google Sheets, Zoom, NGP, ActBlue
- Loyal team player mindset
- Working knowledge of New York’s Capital Region is preferred
Location:
Candidates would ideally be based out of New York’s 20th Congressional District as attendance at all fundraising events in NY20 will be required. Given the nature of political fundraising, frequent night and weekend work will be expected.
Salary commensurate with experience.
