Job Purpose:

Develop and drive SABIC's government relations strategies and relationships to advance SABIC's goals and objectives for growth and to protect SABIC's business assets and interests in the Americas. Identify emerging issues and challenges to proactively address them.

Build and maintain relationships with national, state and local government officials and agencies to benefit SABIC brand, growth objectives and business interests.

Build and maintain a prominent role in key industry associations to extract maximum value from membership.

Lead SABIC's portfolio interests globally, including leading SABIC's global, cross-functional BPA team and representing SABIC's interests in the global industry association.

Key Accountabilities:

Create & implement government relations strategy, including direct interaction with members of Congress, state legislators and regulators.

Engage industry associations (e.g. ACC, AFPM, NAM, OFII) to gain maximum valued and affect legislation/regulation important to SABIC. Drive government & community relations aspects of E&PM process. Engage with government officials to gain their support of SABIC's new construction projects, acquisitions, divestitures, as well as start-up and ongoing operations and to avoid cost increases or operations restrictions.

Entrepreneurial engagement to obtain incentives, e.g. tax incentives, training grants, workforce development funds, and energy rebates. Support SABIC's ambitions to grow an innovative product portfolio with direct, proactive engagement of legislatures and regulatory agencies. Develop and implement strategy to manage high-profile public opinion industry topics, including leading industry coalition and SABIC team to respond to simultaneous legal, legislative, regulatory, scientific and media challenges.

Work with SBU and functional leaders to integrate timely, high quality government relations support to growth initiatives.

Educate and build relationships with government officials on SABIC's manufacturing operations in their district and on new SABIC products and

technologies that provide societal benefits; organize visits from officials to showcase SABIC brand and commitment to CSR.
