Summary
Located in the Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs, Office of Economic Policy and Public Diplomacy, Office of Policy Analysis (EB/EPPD/PA).

Duties
Monitors political, economic, social, military, and other significant developments and trends in order to gauge the effectiveness and facilitate, efforts to achieve U.S. foreign policy objectives as assigned.
Provides insight into foreign affairs and recommendations on effective U.S. policy choices in in assigned regions and/or subject matter in question.
Advises on issues and problems; develops and proposes resolutions of policy and procedural issues and coordinates implementation of policy decisions.
Develops and oversees implementation of foreign assistance.
At the GS-9 level, the incumbent performs essentially the same duties as outlined above; however, the scope and complexity of assignments are of less responsibility and independence and receives closer supervision than the GS-11.
