Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is the national umbrella organization for the nation’s leading network of women’s health care providers, educators, and advocates, serving women, men, teens and families. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is the advocacy and political arm of PPFA. For over 100 years, Planned Parenthood has done more than any other organization in the United States to improve women’s health and safety, prevent unintended pregnancies, and advance the right and ability of individuals and families to make informed and responsible health care decisions.

PPFA and Action Fund seek a dynamic and effective Associate Director, Latinx Campaigns to lead and expand the national Latinx organizing and campaigns program. Reportng to the Director of Constituency Campaigns, this role will focus on executing our national Latinx organizing strategy across the country and in partnership with Planned Parenthood affiliates, building relationships with local and national partners, and managing a growing field program of Raiz and Latinx organizers.

DELIVERY

Direct overall organizing and political strategy for Latinx engagement and mobilization in consultation with Director of Constituency Campaigns, National Campaigns Director, and cross-departmental stakeholders

Manage Raiz Program Manager and local organizers to achieve their yearly goals and deliverables, which includes driving local and state issue campaigns impacting the local Latinx community

In target states and with both Planned Parenthood and external partners, identify clear policy goals for the Latinx community and drive issue campaigns to achieve those outcomes

Work directly with affiliates to expand, manage and maintain the Raiz Organizing Program

Establish relationships with local and national partners to further campaign goals

In partnership with the National Training Team, design and execute trainings for Planned Parenthood Raiz Organizing Program in advocacy and political organizing

Collaborate with Strategic Partnerships in planning conferences and partnership events centering Latinx communities including achieving supporter growth goals and gaining support for policy goals

Collaborate with Multi-cultural Communication Team to support the development, management, and execution of earned and social media strategies

Develop Action Fund’s and Planned Parenthood Votes’ electoral campaigns and strategies for engaging Latinx communities in every election cycle

Provide leadership for national initiatives for engaging our newest generation of Latinx leaders

Provide detailed written and oral reports to allies, board members and donors for Raiz programming

Manage budgets and fiscal responsibility of program expenses

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs)

3 - 5 years relevant experience

Experience in developing strategic and tactical plans, projects and programs

Excellent communication, writing , deign , research and organizational skills

Strong racial analysis and equity lens within the progressive movement and workplace

Able to work autonomously and in teams including key partners

Experienced in creation and implementation of rapid response campaigns and field plans; including large scale events, advocacy campaigns and education campaigns

Ability to travel extensively to support specific, me-limited campaigns

Must be willing and able to work extended hours as needed

Computer literate, social media and technologically savvy

Metrics-driven approach to planning, evaluating, and reporting on progress

Background in organizing in diverse communities

Passionate, entrepreneurial approach to work

Strong knowledge of key reproductive health, rights, and justice issues

Able to create consensus among diverse constituencies while keeping organizational priories in focus

Understanding of the issues facing communities when it comes to accessing health care
