Summary

Position is in the Bureau of Intelligence and Research, Office of Technical Collections Affairs (INR/TCA) and serves as Director of TCA, which coordinates sensitive civilian and military technical intelligence collection operations and programs, including with Chiefs of Mission and senior officers of the Department of State in the conduct of foreign intelligence activities. Position directs the coordination of special collection programs and activities in intelligence disciplines worldwide.

Responsibilities

Initiates actions and proposals on worldwide planning, deployment and operation of special technical collection programs and activities including overt and covert intelligence with foreign nations.

Serves as the Director of the Office of Technical Collection Affairs; sets work priorities and adjusts procedures within the office to accomplish tasks to accommodate resource allocation decisions made at high echelons.

Advises senior Department of State officials, including the INR Assistant Secretary and 7th floor principals, on political risk and technical operational issues that arise concerning US or foreign intelligence collection activities.

Represents the Department of State in intelligence community interagency committees on issues related to technical collection programs and activities.
