Overview:


The Director will enhance essential partnerships and foster communication between AAPA and designated constituent organizations (COs) in its 111 member CO Community. The director assists COs with achieving their goals in partnership with AAPA, and supports their ability to work with AAPA in advancing the PA profession.

About the role:

This position serves as subject matter lead for physician assistant (PA) constituent organization governance, development and management for all COs. The director assists COs with achieving their objectives by creating capacity building resources and working in partnership with COs, other AAPA employees, and key external stakeholder groups. By enhancing CO capacity and strengthening CO partnerships, the director increases AAPA’s reach, voice, and ability to advance the PA profession.

The Director COOA will take an active role by:


  • Enhancing essential partnerships
  • Creating effective communication
  • Serving as a subject matter lead on CO governance and management
  • Planning and coordination of AAPA’s CO events and programs
  • Serve as a staff advisor


Certified Association Executive (CAE) or in process of acquiring CAE preferred
