The Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) is actively recruiting for a Manager, Policy & Stakeholder Engagement to join our Public & Professional Affairs department.
We are a fully remote workforce and are looking for someone who is able to be fully productive, efficient and effective in a remote environment.
This is a three-year term position with the possibility of extension based on organizational needs and performance.
Job Summary
The Manager, Policy & Stakeholder Engagement will play a critical role in shaping pharmacy and health policy, fostering strategic relationships, and ensuring effective communication with key stakeholders.
A key component of this role will be supporting CPhA’s engagement with senior leaders in pharmacy through the Pharmacy Business Council, ensuring meaningful discussions on policy issues. This position will also support communications geared toward CPhA’s key partners, including pharmacy organizations, regulators, and industry interest holders.
Duties and Tasks
The Manager, Policy & Stakeholder Engagement is responsible for, but not limited to:
Policy Development & Analysis:
- Leading the development of policy positions on key pharmacy and health care issues.
- Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments at the federal and provincial levels, assessing their impact on pharmacy.
- Conducting research and analysis on health policy issues affecting pharmacists and patients in Canada.
- Drafting policy papers, briefing notes, consultation submissions, and strategic recommendations that reflect stakeholder concerns and priorities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Strategic Communications:
- Leading and supporting policy-focused engagement with pharmacy organizations, industry partners, regulators, and other key stakeholders to advance CPhA’s advocacy priorities.
- Supporting CPhA’s National Pharmacy Business Council and Advocacy Committee by coordinating stakeholder input, preparing materials, and contributing strategic insights to guide discussions on national pharmacy policy and business issues.
- Collaborating with the communications team to craft clear, impactful messaging that aligns with policy positions and resonates with key audiences.
- Developing briefing notes, presentations, and reports to support stakeholder meetings, advocacy campaigns, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public policy, political science, business administration, health administration, communications, or a related field.
Experience
Relevant and sufficient experience in policy development, stakeholder engagement, preferably in health care, pharmacy, or a related sector, commensurate with the level of Manager.
Skills
- Exceptional policy analysis and research skills, with experience developing policy recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in developing policy and stakeholder-facing materials.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate high-level meetings and manage multiple priorities.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to align multiple interests.
- Bilingualism is a strong asset.

Salary Range
$70,000 – $85,000
