Representative Josh Gottheimer seeks a dynamic and experienced DC-based Press Secretary to help lead the communications team. 

 

The position will manage and execute the communications and digital media functions of the office including:

  • Pitching and fielding a high volume of press requests 
  • Maintaining relationships with national and district media 
  • Writing press releases, op-eds, speeches, newsletters, and talking points 
  • Leading interview preparation and media relations efforts 
  • Managing all social media channels and web content 

 

Ideal candidates will have: 

  • At least 1-2 years of experience on the Hill and/or working in fast-paced media environments 
  • Established media relationships and on-the record experience 
  • A strong network of Hill contacts 
  • The ability to operate proactively and collaboratively
