Program Associate
About New Politics Leadership Academy:
New Politics Leadership Academy (NPLA), which is a nonpartisan non-profit organization, was founded in 2016 to transform government by recruiting and developing servant leaders with the highest caliber of integrity, courage, and empathy. At a time when the number of service veterans in elected office is at an all-time low, NPLA is working to help servant leaders overcome the traditional barriers to entering the political arena. Through leadership development experiences, educational programming, and networking events, we're building a new pipeline into politics for Americans who have served our communities and country and who feel called to continue their service by jumping into the political arena.
Our Need: We are looking for a Program Associate to support execution and operations to ensure the continued growth and success of our programs. This role reports to the Director of Programs.
You will:
Execute short-term and long-term program management:
- Manage administrative and logistical details of core NPLA programs and events to ensure they are well-attended, operational, and properly executed
- Collaborate across New Politics Leadership Academy departments
- Maintain systems and processes to ensure programs run smoothly
- Provide high-quality, responsive customer service to prospective participants, current participants, alumni, facilitators, and other key stakeholders
- Manage calendar of recruitment periods and programmatic events for participants
- Track participant attendance throughout the programming
- Prepare materials, mailings, and tools for key training programs’s participants and facilitators
- Draft communications to support participant enrollment, participant retention, and alumni engagement
- In collaboration with the Director of Programs, focus on consistent improvement of systems and processes to continuously scale current programs
- In collaboration with the Director of Programs, support the development of future programs, events, and pilots
Manage databases and related programmatic needs:
- Track participant engagement throughout the programming and support recruitment, acceptance, and enrollment processes
- Organize and update client relations management (CRM) databases with accuracy and timeliness
- Assemble and analyze data for program evaluations, annual reports, and external communications with partners and stakeholders
The ideal candidate has experience with or capabilities of:
- Experience in program support, administration, office management, customer service, political campaigns, non-profits, OR issue-advocacy organizations
- Passion for constituent/customer/client services and attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Solving problems independently and sometimes beyond a given scope of work
- Executing detail-oriented tasks and managing projects
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects
- Learning new skills and immersing oneself in technological tools to improve systems
- Supporting and collaborating with a team to execute ambitious goals
- Willingness to learn Salesforce, FormAssembly, and other technology platforms

Salary and Benefits: New Politics offers generous health benefits, group life insurance, FSA and Dependent FSA, flexible vacation policy, professional coaching, professional development opportunities, a 401K match, and competitive paid family/medical leave. Starting salary is $60,000 and commensurate with experience.
This is a remote position with required travel to several organization-wide and training events per year. Some evening and weekend work will be required as job duties and planned programming demand.
