Company Overview: Victory First Consulting, a new political operations and compliance firm specializing in supporting progressive organizations, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Operations Associate to join our team. This is a temporary position for three months beginning on Jan 1st, with the potential for extension based on performance and business needs.


Company Philosophy: ‘Amateurs talk strategy, professionals talk logistics.’ The progressive movement needs operations and compliance support to ensure we have the logistical backbone to win. Come help us provide that to progressive campaigns, PACs and non-profits.


Job Location: Washington, DC. Work will be a hybrid of 1-2 days a week in the office, the rest remote.


Responsibilities: As an Operations Associate, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure smooth operational and compliance processes. Key responsibilities include:


  • Updating Political Compliance Databases:
  • Maintain and update political compliance databases, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, including properly maintaining records and systems for clients.
  • Technical Support:
  • Provide technical support to clients and internal teams, troubleshooting issues related to our operations and compliance systems.
  • Assisting with Processing Payroll:
  • Work with clients to ensure on-time and accurate payroll processing.
  • Assisting with Processing Expenses:
  • Manage and process expense reports, verifying receipts and compliance with company policies, FEC rules and IRS regulations.
  • Assisting with Filings to the Federal Elections Commission (FEC):
  • Support the preparation and submission of required filings to the FEC, following established protocols.


Qualifications:


  • This is a junior level position and entry level candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Some previous experience in campaign finance, human resources, or administrative work is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with political compliance regulations is a plus.


Compensation: $3,400-5,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
