Lyft is looking for an experienced Healthcare Public Policy professional to join our fast-growing and fast-paced team! Based in San Francisco, this position will manage healthcare policy efforts while working collaboratively with a variety of Lyft teams, notably the Government Relations, Policy Development and Research, and Healthcare teams, to further expand the company’s growing presence in the healthcare sector. This includes tight collaboration with the Healthcare Business Development team on market priorities and motions. This stellar policy champion will assist in driving Lyft’s policy priorities and work directly with elected officials, policymakers, and key stakeholders at the state and local level. The Head of Healthcare Public Policy will be dealing with regulatory and government issues as a pivotal part of our expansion, building out Lyft’s brand, and growing our markets. Responsibilities:

Assist in developing Lyft’s state legislative and regulatory healthcare strategy in partnership with Healthcare Business Development, Healthcare Compliance, Policy Development and Research, Public Engagement, and local Public Policy Managers

Represent Lyft in interactions with state and local electeds, government officials and staff

Work cross-functionally with Public Policy and Healthcare team leads to develop public policy priorities that advance Lyft’s operations while aligning with Lyft’s business strategy with timely policy guidance across the healthcare spectrum

Provide subject matter expertise

Experience:

10+ years of healthcare policy experience

Law, policy, or other relevant advanced degrees strongly preferred

Extensive knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare and other Federal healthcare programs and policies strongly preferred

Familiarity with government procurement policies and procedures

Experience working in government (health policy, regulatory, or legislative) and directly with government and elected officials strongly preferred

Exceptional strategic and problem-solving skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding (and sometime unstructured) environment

Self-starter; intrinsically motivated but also a good teammate

Natural connector and relationship builder

A love of travel

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) - you know how to tell a good story and advocate your position
