Legislative Assistant

Senator Rand Paul seeks a Legislative Assistant to handle the Banking, Budget, Trade and Tax portfolio. Qualified candidates should have knowledge of the issues within the portfolio as well as a general breadth of knowledge on the Senator’s priorities and Senate procedure. Prior Senate or House experience in a related legislative role is strongly preferred. Must be a strong writer, researcher, and display the ability to think critically and outside the box. Responsibilities include staffing and briefing the Senator on relevant topics, drafting amendments and legislation, and representing the Senator before constituents.
