Job Description

We are a bipartisan law and lobbying firm seeking candidates to join our legislative staff. 


As a Legislative Assistant, you will support Principals and lobbyists with a variety of work, such as legislative and political research, written reports and memos, and projects requested by clients. In this role, you will be expected to conduct research, draft issue summaries, contribute to newsletters and reports, monitor and report on legislative and regulatory activities happening in Congress and the Executive Branch. 


This is an entry-level position that will provide substantial experience in all aspects of a multi-client lobbying firm. 


Responsibilities include:

  • Provide written summaries of events of interest, such as congressional hearings, executive branch meetings, and third-party events.
  • Monitor and track federal legislation, regulations, media coverage related to client concerns, and other relevant developments on various issue areas, such as healthcare, tax, trade, energy, and financial services.
  • Assist Principals and Directors on a variety of client-facing projects, including issue-specific memos and reoccurring policy updates.
  • Support internal and client events as needed.


Ideal candidates for the position have:

  • Outstanding written and oral communications skills. 
  • The ability to conduct legislative and political research, analyze information, and write clearly with minimal supervision.
  • A proactive work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and 
  • An interest in public policy or politics.


Note this is a full-time, in-person position with flexibility to remote work on occasion.
