SUMMARY: The Senior Director of Government Affairs is responsible for the coordination of activities associated with key SNC Programs including engagement with all necessary elements of the Military and Intelligence Communities. For this position, your experience and contact list in the Space and Intelligence community will be the key to success.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Partner with SNC Business Area leadership, pursuit capture teams, Senior Advisors, SNC Strategic Communications and any assigned SNC lobbyists to coordinate all aspects of Space and Intelligence Community-focused business

Responsible for ensuring that SNC speaks with a single voice on key pursuits and for developing and coordinating the critical messages among the key stakeholders within Executive and Legislative branches of the US Government

Monitor key IC and Space pursuits and assess the effectiveness of the engagement strategy to ensure the desired outcomes are achieved

Serve as the resident expert on Intelligence Community (IC) and Space issues in the National Capital Region as well as in military Commands and accompany other SNC staff as necessary to meetings and office calls that require an in-depth knowledge of the organization and programmatics

Support Business Development activities as a pursuit lead or supporting staff with governmental and non-governmental customers and assist in Business Intelligence on competitor efforts to aid in the formulation of strategies for opportunity engagement, capture, and protection when applicable

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Requires a BA/BS in Related Field. Relevant work experience may substitute for required education

Must have extensive and current experience in the DoD Space and IC/NRO community along with relevant industry experience in business development and or program management.

Candidates with experience and contact lists in Civil, International, and Commercial Space will be given special attention

Previous experience with the Air Force Space Command and US Strategic Command mission set and its special mission units as well as an in-depth understanding of Air Force, Army, Navy, and USD(I) current and future priorities is desirable

O-5/O-6 and/or GS 14/15 level experience required

Technical understanding of current sea-based, ground-based, air deployed and space deployed capabilities

Possess exceptional presentation and people skills as briefings to senior levels of the US Government will be required on occasion

May be required to formally register under the federal lobbying regulations

Note: Ability to obtain TS SCI clearance is required
