Woodberry Associates seeks a Director in its Stakeholder Relations division, focused on management of non-profit advocacy programming.

Title: Director, Stakeholder Relations                 Location: Washington, DC


What You Do


·      Serve as the account manager for multiple non-profits engaged in policy advocacy


·      Oversee and execute all aspects of the day-to-day management of non-profit client(s), including:


·      Liaise with sponsors and donors.


·      Oversee governance, including board meetings, budgets and compliance.


·      Develop and implement programs and initiatives that drive the clients’ missions, which could include:


·      Awareness campaigns


·      Social media campaigns


·      Thought leadership projects


·      Surveys and studies


·      Educational programs


·      Engage membership and other allied stakeholders through communications, programs, initiatives and events to advance the non-profit’s missions.


·      Direct internal and external communications, including digital communications including:


·      Newsletters


·      Email marketing


·      Social media


·      Social media advertising


·      Program and initiative communications


·      Support creation of advocacy resources that support the non-profit’s mission, initiatives and programs, which could include:


·      Videos


·      White papers


·      Policy briefs


·      Infographics


·      Webinars


·      Manage the planning and execution of events (national, regional and international) with membership and other stakeholders to drive the clients’ missions.


·      Represent the non-profit at meetings and conferences domestically and internationally.


Your Skills


·      At least 5 years of experience working in public affairs, campaigns or advocacy management.


·      Very organized and a strong ability to manage multiple projects at once and balance competing priorities.


·      Ability to quickly comprehend complex issues that vary from project to project.


·      Get-it-done attitude and desire to work hard and smart, and a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure success.


·      Attitude of initiative, collaboration and continuous improvement.


·      Experience managing junior team members.


·      Excellent written and verbal communications skills and confidence to lead.  


·      Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally.


·      Interest in healthcare is a plus but not required.


·      Spanish language fluency desired.


Salary & Benefits


This is a full-time, in-person position based in Washington, DC with health insurance, 401(k) and an unlimited PTO policy. Candidates must be willing and able to be in-person in downtown Washington, DC Monday through Thursday.
