The Democratic Attorneys General Association provides political and policy support to Democratic State Attorneys General in their mission to protect citizens, promote progress, and support civil rights.
Title: Digital Fundraising Manager

Salary Range: $55,000-65,000
Purpose:
The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) is hiring a Digital Fundraising Manager to manage and expand the committee’s online fundraising program. Democratic AGs have emerged as the most effective leaders protecting our democracy and holding President Trump and his GOP allies accountable. The Digital Fundraising Manager will report to the Finance Director and work with a digital fundraising firm to execute the committee’s digital fundraising program and strategic plan. The Digital Fundraising Manager also will collaborate with the digital content team on digital fundraising messaging.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage DAGA’s low dollar program, which includes email, social media, online advertising, SMS, and other emerging mediums
- Manage DAGA’s relationship with a digital fundraising firm for the execution of the program
- Write compelling copy for fundraising emails, online advertising, and fundraising SMS program
- Drive innovation, brainstorm, test ideas, and help build out a process to optimize our email program on an on-going basis
- Monitor digital fundraising communications from Democratic Attorneys General, Democratic candidates, Republican AGs, Republican candidates, sister Democratic political committees, and select advocacy groups, including strategic partners
- Organize and coordinate digital fundraising engagement with candidates for Attorney General and partner organizations to further grow online audience and awareness of Committee and Democratic AGs
- Produce, review, and send email copy using our CRM (Blue State Digital), ensuring each email being sent is accurate and segmented correctly
- Pull a monthly analytics report for the National Finance Director, Executive Director, and Deputy Executive Director, and offer analysis and insights on the email program’s results and progress toward long-term strategic goal
- Support other special projects, assignments, and tasks in collaboration with DAGA leadership and other DAGA departments
Qualifications:
- Experience in a mid-level role as a part of a successful, large-scale, online fundraising operation(s) for Democratic political campaigns, Democratic political committees, or like-minded advocacy organizations and firms
- Experience writing email copy for a high-volume program, including writing rapid response messages
- Experience producing emails, including segmenting and testing, using a CRM such as BSD or NGP
- Experience creating and placing targeted advertisements with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media platforms
- Working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analytics for social media, email, and website performance as well as paid social media ads
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, track record of consistent delivery to exacting standards
- Demonstrable written and oral communications skills
- Sense of humor, positive attitude, and outside the box thinker/fixer
- Positive attitude and a demonstrated capability to be flexible, adjust to changing priorities, and operate effectively in a fluid and fast-paced environment
- Project management skills that include the effective execution of multiple tasks through multiple channels concurrently, allocating and optimizing resources, and managing timelines
- Commitment to DAGA’s mission and willingness to learn about the integral, but usually less well-known, role that AGs play as the People’s Lawyers.

Closing:
- DAGA’s office is open 9 AM – 6 PM Eastern, but extended and nontraditional work hours are required.
- DAGA offices are in downtown DC but are currently three days required in the office due to the COVID-19 pandemic. DAGA can currently accommodate remote work, although the position will be DC-based once DAGA reopens its office.
- DAGA will work with potential candidates to schedule remote interviews and process onboarding procedures remotely, as necessary.
